TOPIC:Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
Classmates are a more important influence than parents on a child’s success in school.
Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

A child spends his first 1-5 years with his parents. When the child becomes 6 or 7 years-old he must go to elementary school to start his school education. One says that the parents have more influence on a child’s success in school than his classmates do. But I am convinced that the classmates are the most major effect when it comes to whether a child will success or not in school.
I have several points to support my statement.
To begin with, one takes the behavior of one's company. The classmates spend more times with the child than his parents do. Most schools are having classes 5 days a week and 8 hours a day. And that determined a child is spending a great period of times to stay at school with his classmates. It is world widely acknowledged that a man will unconsciously imitate his intimate acquaintances’ action. Not to mention a little child who first entries a new place. A good friend in school is most likely to make one easily achieve his success.
Secondly, the child will learn some important elements contributed to one’s success. For instance, because school is a totally different place from home, once a child entries his school gate, his living environment will no longer be the same one when he is at home. In the school, he will not be surrounding by his loved parents but classmates. So he must learn how to deal with other people. And that is an essential element to reckon one’s success in the school.
Finally, parents can not always guide their children correctly. Because nowadays, most parents are too busy to attend to their children. And many children are used to discuss their problem with their friends instead of their own parents. And in that way, the classmates influent a child ‘success greatly.
Admittedly, it is the very truth that the importance, one’s parents are shouldered the responsibility to rise up and to bring up one’s good character and personality, can not be displaceable. But the classmates, the surrounding environment in school, no one can deny it will do greatly upon one’s success in school.
